Share Your Summer Stories With Glacial Hills!

It’s suddenly September! Summer has absolutely flown by, leaving us to reflect on some wonderful events and glorious days in the woods. As we gear up for the changing leaves and that first cold morning, we invite you to share your summer Glacial Hills story.

These past few months have offered some wonderful weather to explore our trails on foot, on a bike, and in pleasant company. For mountain bikers, the weekly rides with Paddles and Pedals offered a fun way to cover a lot of ground and quickly pick up fitness and skills from Patrick and the ride regulars. Don Hirt has bravely led his Wednesday morning Guided Hikes, building quite the following over the past few years! We were also home to the Short’s Glacial Hills Challenge, as well as the host of the North Country Trail Association’s annual Celebration all the way back in May!

We also know that some of the most enjoyable days on the trails are quiet ones spent in solitude or with close friends and fellow adventurers. Our trail crew takes a lot of pride in hearing stories of cyclists, runners, or visitors who seek out Bellaire and Glacial Hills as a can’t-miss destination for their summer travels. That’s a big reason why our team dedicates thousands of hours every season to maintaining Glacial Hills and keeping every turn, root, and wayfinding arrow in perfect condition.

From all of the Friends of Glacial Hills, we invite you to share your Glacial Hills story with us. Post photos to our Facebook, tag us on Instagram, or tell us about your trail experience at communications@nmmba.net We plan to share some of your stories as a way to highlight all of the different ways locals and visitors alike enjoy their time in nature.

Love what Glacial Hills offers you and your family? Donate to Glacial Hills, and consider becoming a Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association member and support non-motorized recreation across the region for generations to come.
