Get Your Glacial Hills Grooming Badge!

It's finally looking a bit like winter! Help us make the season bright by ordering your Glacial Hills Winter Grooming Badge today!

It may only be a dusting, but the snowfall this week has done just enough to transform Glacial Hills into a picturesque, winter wonderland! It's another early start to winter in northern Michigan, and while we're already hungry for more powder, the brief pause in the snow belt gives us a chance to take a step back and ask our supporters to help us prepare for a big season.

All of our grooming efforts are funded by groom badge sales, and those come from trail users like YOU! The proceeds go into every tank of gas, every sled repair, every grooming drag fix, and every odd expense it takes to keep our trails the envy of every trail system in the Midwest. We have an incredible group of volunteers who clear trail and groom, but it takes all of us to give them the tools and supplies they need to brave the elements and tame the snows of December, January, and February.

While we may not have had much time invested yet this season, the earlier you purchase your badge, the better we can estimate our budget for the season. Based off the badge sales of previous seasons, we can get a pretty good idea of what we can afford to invest in grooming; sometimes, that information can be the difference between heading out or staying in and waiting to groom another day. The more sales, the more grooming, which means a higher quality and more consistent experience for fat bikers, skiers, snowshoers, and the hundreds of enthusiasts who make the trip to Bellaire to experience our trails each winter!

It's really simply math; without you, we can't groom to the quality we have all come to expect from Glacial Hills. Whether it's a holiday gift for a friend or family member, or just a treat for yourself, your grooming badge is what makes winter in northern Michigan happen!

You can purchase your badge here.

If you enjoy traveling to Cadillac, Traverse City, the Leelanau State Park, or just want to give to general grooming efforts, you can also donate any sum here. Each grooming badge supports a trail that keeps its local community active through the winter months, a vital service at a time where health, wellness, and fitness are especially tough.
